Maker Faire is a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness - and perhaps most notably - a celebration of the Maker movement.
The event will take place in New York Hall of Science on the weekend of September 22-23, 2018 from 10am to 6pm. Maker Faire is primarily designed to be forward-looking, showcasing makers who are exploring new avenues and new technologies. The Faire features innovation and experimentation from various fields of science including engineering, art, performance, and craft. This amazing event was first held in San Mate, California back in 2006. Since its establishment, the Maker Faire has become an annual event hosted in over 40 cities around the world such as Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, and Shenzhen. Each invention and innovation is a long and amazing road of trial and error. Prototypes allow you to achieve successive refinement and are strongly encouraged during the early stages of a product as they allow you to perform minor tweaks along the way that ultimately lead to a better final product. One of the most ideal materials for prototyping is ABS plastic as it is is easy to machine, sand, and glue while also remaining rigid and colorful.
